Krishna Choudhury

Ph.D. Student

Krishna Choudhury is a doctoral student in the School of Plant and Environmental Sciences. Her research focuses on soil health, silvopasture systems, and sustainable forage-based livestock production. She is particularly interested in how tree-forage-soil interactions influence ecosystem services, carbon dynamics, and pasture resilience in grazing systems.

Assessing impacts of summer stockpiling and grazing management on soil health, forage quality, and pasture resilience.

Producer Focused Research and Demonstration

Collaborating closely with livestock producers to understand and improve real-world pasture management techniques. Sharing practical and effective methods for managing summer stockpiling and silvopasture, aiming to make these techniques more accessible and straightforward to adopt.

Establishing improved forbs in perennial grassland system to improve stand diversity, forage quality and soil health.
